Our fragrance ingredients have different vaporization behaviours to ensure a release profile over time, allowing you to enjoy the scent of a clean laundry for longer.

From the several thousand different perfume components which are used to create pleasant and longlasting fragrances, some ingredients are known for their potential to be irritant.
These ingredients follow special regulations and are clearly marked on Persil labels.
For sensitive people, these ingredients could cause allergic reactions.In some of Persil products, a portion of fragrance is encapsulated. This technology helps to preserve the fragrance during the storing and wearing of garments, preventing it to evaporate too quickly.
In line with the company's commitment to sustainability, Persil is working to remove all fragrance capsules made from microplastic by end of 2022.
Why and how do we use them?
Fragrances not only grant a pleasant and long-lasting scent to your laundry but also to Persil products as such.
On top, some specifically designed perfumes fight against unpleasant malodors, especially important for sportswear.
All fragrances we use are well assessed with respect to consumer and environmental safety. Fragrance ingredients that might cause allergic reactions, are clearly labelled. For sensitive products, Persil abstain from using of any ingredients that are suspected of having an allergizing potential.
Where do they come from?
A good part of Persil fragrance ingredients is derived from nature. However, some ingredients are also synthesized in order to eliminate unwanted byproducts from nature or to provide sufficient amounts.
